Description

Lightweight upgrade- crankshaft gear-kit from BAR-TEK® ® Motorsport for all 1.8L and 2.0 TSI EA888 engines with 2nd and 3rd generation chain.

The BAR-TEK® ® crankshaft gear is made of high-strength aluminium and is extremely light compared to the standard part. As a result, the engine is less stressed and performs better.

Advantages at a glance:

  • at just 400 grams, almost 1.5 kg lighter than the standard part
  • less accelerated mass
  • significantly better throttle response
  • less strain on the engine
  • faster revving of the engine
  • milled from the solid
  • with TDC marking
  • black anodised, thus optimally protected against environmental influences

Included in the kit:

  1. Upgrade crankshaft gear
  2. V-ribbed belt
  3. Central screw Belt pulley

For engines with a modified crankshaft drive due to e. g. H-beam conrods , forged pistons and/or crankshaft, we recommend our harmonic vibration damper
