The Turbosmart Upgraded Wastegate Actuators are designed to provide the maximum possible boost response for your factory standard turbocharger. The Turbosmart IWG75 series of upgraded actuators benefit from greater efficiency than the factory design, resulting in improved response to the charge pressure throughout the RPM range.
This improved efficiency level is achieved by increasing the effective diaphragm area and revising the built-in springs, resulting in greater power transfer to the actuator (boost and back pressure) while still maintaining very high responsiveness.
When operating at the same base pressure as from the factory, you can expect a more extensive charge pressure- and torque curve as peak boost pressure is reached earlier in the RPM range and held longer, all the way up to higher RPMs. These improvements can be amplified with higher base pressures, but tuning and recalibration will likely be required.
