mechanical tensioner pulley for all 1.8T 20V engines and also as a conversion for all EA113 2.0L TFSI engines.
Thanks to the mechanical tensioner your timing belt always has a constant pretension. Should always be renewed when changing the timing belt.
Please check the tension regularly and adjust the tensioner if necessary. If this belt tears or is too loose, a capital engine damage will occur
(Our mechanical tensioner pulley has a minimally larger hole for the stud bolt, but this is harmless after tightening the nut)
We also recommend to replace the pulley on the crankshaft or directly install our HIGH TORQUE pulley kit.
Unfortunately, there is always capital engine damage caused by worn pulleys.
Tightening torque 20Nm with blue Loctite.
