Universal catalytic converters for tuning fans

Universal cat

A catalytic converter cleans your car’s exhaust gases and thus reduces pollutant emissions. While a standard cat is usually made of ceramic, you will find universal racing catalytic converters made of metal with stainless steel coatings in our online shop. These are designed for extreme performance boosts and increasing your car’s performance. If you want to perform top-of-the-line tubing, there’s no way around a racing cat. Here, you will find universal sport cats with different diameters and numbers of cells.

What good does a universal sport catalytic converter do you?

Contrary to standard cats, our racing cats have been optimised for low back pressure: You can reach up to 85 % less exhaust back pressure using our universal catalytic converters. The optimised exhaust flow increases more than the performance. The thermal load on your engine and turbocharger is also reduced, which increases durability. In addition, you can even meet a better emission standard by using a sport cat. And if you want to get serious, you should optimise your entire exhaust system. By using a sport muffler and sport exhaust, you will achieve significantly more power and driving thrills to match. Another side effect of cat optimisation is the purring, sporty sound.

Universal sport cats for extreme performance

Catalytic converters are available with different numbers of cells. These are inside the honeycomb body made of metal. The less cells your racing cat has, the more performance you can crank out. While standard cats often have 400 or more cells, a racing cat has between one hundred and two hundred cells. These have very thin walls, thereby optimising the exhaust flow and reducing the back pressure. Cats with so few cells usually come without registration, since they do not comply with the exhaust standard during the cold start phase.
