Exhaust Housings for Garrett Turbochargers
You’ll find our exhaust housings for all Garrett turbochargers here. They can simply be exchanged with any Garrett turbocharger if you want to redesign the configuration of your turbo. You can change the A/R ratio, for example, or, with the new housing, install another flange to the turbo manifold or down pipe. In our shop, the Garrett exhaust housing is available in many versions and for many turbo models: GT28, GT30, GT35, GT40, GT42. We also stock various stainless steel exhaust housings that are especially lightweight. In addition, you can choose from many different flanges, including V-band, T4, T6 and T25.
Which A/R Ratio Do You Need?
Basically, the right A/R (area/radius) ratio is a matter of taste. A smaller A/R ratio of 0.63, for example, ensures a good response of the turbocharger, and the turbo lag is reduced. On the other hand, you get a large exhaust gas accumulation in the upper speed range and thus less end performance when compared with a large A/R (e.g. 1.06). With a large A/R ratio, it’s exactly the other way round: The response is slower, but you get extra performance in the upper speed range.
Heat Protection for Your Garrett Turbo
The exhaust housings by Garrett consist of a special nickel alloy and are therefore perfectly suitable for extreme exhaust temperatures. With our patented plasma ceramic coating, you give extra protection to your turbo. It is much better than any “turbo pampers”, heat protection tape or other forms of heat protection. Withstanding up to 900°C, it lowers the surface temperature of your turbo by approx. 33%. With 0.3 mm, the coating is extremely thin. That makes it very lightweight yet it achieves a highly effective impact. With it, you achieve a higher engine performance and a longer service life. It looks good as well: You can choose among 14 colors, which we apply by hand.
