Probes and sensors are responsible for measuring certain key figures of your car and passing them on accordingly. For example, you will receive error messages. However, as probes and sensors are also wearing parts, they should be checked regularly and replaced if necessary, so that they do not provide incorrect information and cause can cause real damage. Air/fuel probes
The air/fuel probe is used to measure the residual oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas and transmit the result to the engine control unit, which ensures the optimum composition of the mix. Rail pressure sensors
Rail pressure sensors make the engine in your car work smoothly and ensure optimum pressure conditions. They transmit the value of the rail pressure to the control unit, which in turn controls the pressure regulator. The injection system needs a stable rail pressure to function optimally, so the sensor should be replaced in case of a defect. In our shop, you will get sensors for different engines.
Boost and low-pressure sensors
You get boost sensors and low-pressure sensors in the BAR-TEK online shop as well. We have boost sensors as a kit for 2.5L TFSI engines, for instance. This kit includes two map sensors, one in the front and the other after the throttle valve. Please bear in mind that the map must be adapted to the sensor.
The low pressure sensor also ought to be replaced in order to keep the fuel pressure stable and not to affect the running of the engine negatively. We have Bosch low-pressure sensors for different engines. In order to fit the sensor to the high-pressure pump and it must be done for tuning inlet manifolds – you need the right adapter.
