Steel Con-Rods in Tuning
Con-rods are the connection between the piston and the crankshaft in a combustion engine. The connecting rod translates the linear movement of the piston into the circular movement of the crankshaft. It´s called the piston principle. The forces acting on the components of a performance-enhanced engine are so extreme, the parts easily tear off. This is why we recommend the conversion to premium-quality steel con-rods at the latest from a performance of 300 hp upward. Defective con-rods can quickly result in severe engine damage.
