Crankshafts and accessories for the drive

Crankshafts

A crankshaft translates a back-and-forth movement into a rotational movement. This is done by means of the connecting rod, through which the piston forces are directed. These forces are converted into a torque, which is then passed to the gearbox via the clutch. Therefore crankshafts play a vital role in performance boosting because without them there’s no drive and, obviously, no enhanced performance. You’ll find crankshafts and all sorts of accessories in our shop, e.g. stroker kits, chain wheels, crankshaft sprockets and crank pulleys. With our forged crankshafts originating from car racing, you’ll achieve faster revving of the engine and a longer service life. The series parts, by contrast, are very vulnerable.

Stroker kits

Our stroker kits are complete assembly sets with which you can enlarge the displacement. Also called spool-up, the engine will rev a lot faster. More displacement means more performance. With the stroker kit, the entire engine lasts longer. Moreover, a higher boost and more advanced ignition are possible with it. Of course, the kits include a crankshaft, high-performance piston, steel con-rod, cylinder-head gaskets and rod bearings.

Crankshaft sprockets

The screw connection of the sprocket on the crankshaft is one of the greatest weaknesses with respect to the drive. If the guide groove on the crankshaft shears off, it does not only lead to major engine damage. In order to solve this problem, our high-torque kits strengthen the belt drive by means of an additional guide pin on the crankshaft. It is made of high-strength, high-quality steel. We recommend using this pin for all tuned engines. You ought to use this kit in particular when reinforced valve springs have been installed and the valve train is exposed to particularly high stress. It can be done without removing the engine.
