Cylinder Head Gaskets for BMW
The head gasket, short for cylinder head gasket, is an important tuning element. It sits between the crankcase and the cylinder head where it seals the combustion chamber and the engine passageways. Furthermore, it ensures an optimum power transmission between the components, i.e. it has an enormous influence on the power distribution within your engine. In our shop, you’ll get premium-quality cylinder head gaskets by Athena and Cometic for many BMW engines.
The premium cylinder head gaskets by Athena and Cometic are predominantly made from several layers of metal. Different strengths of the head gasket can be chosen from, so different compressions can be driven. You also get cylinder head gaskets from us just like the ones used in car racing. They have better thermal conductivity and pressure stability.
Optimal Compression
Extreme thermal and mechanical forces act on the cylinder head gasket, which it must be able to withstand. In order to lower the compression optimally, our head gaskets consist of several metal layers. An increased boost pressure is no longer a problem, and there won’t be any knocking at all.
A defective cylinder head gasket can cause severe damage to the engine of your BMW. If the combustion chamber and the engine oil passageways, or the coolant chamber, are no longer tight, gases or water can disperse. If a little bit of coolant gets into the oil, for example, the oil can no longer ensure proper lubrication, causing damage to the bearings. If gases get into the cooling system, it can result in an overheating of the engine. This is why you should only install high-quality head gaskets in your BMW.
