We convert to larger valves, thinner valve stems or mechanical valve train.
Cylinder heads machined by Integrated Engineering
Our absolute favourite when it comes to cylinder head machining is Integrated Engineering from the USA - among the many solutions tested on our test bench, this manufacturer convinced us. The company has done a lot of research and effort to develop the optimal process - with success. The patented LiftMAX process ensures optimal cylinder filling, even with low cam thrust. In the BAR-TEK® tuning shop you will find the 1.8T-20V cylinder head and the 2L-TFSI cylinder head from Integrated Engineering. They feature CNC-machined intake and exhaust ports, LiftMAX-machined valve seats and transitions, specially cleaned oil passages and new Integrated valve guides. You can fit valves directly to the cylinder head. We accept used Big Port cylinder heads in part exchange without damage caused by torn valves. On request, we will install the matching valves, valve springs and camshafts. Our recommendation: Exchange at least the exhaust valves for Schrick Nimonic or Supertech Inconel, because the stock valves are susceptible to higher temperatures and boost pressures.
CNC machined 8V cylinder heads for G60 engines
For all G60 engines we offer, in exchange for the old one, an 8V cylinder head, which we disassemble and clean in an ultrasonic bath, CNC-machine the intake and exhaust ports, renew the valve guides to a conical version, recut the seat rings and fit new valve stem seals. You have the choice between the power stages with 8-millimetre valves in 40/33 millimetres and 7-millimetre valves in 40/34 millimetres made of black-nitrided stainless steel. The cylinder head fits all Golf engines built between 89 and 92. Thanks to the complex CNC machining of the intake and exhaust ports, the cylinder head is machined to be absolutely identical to the ports, so that each cylinder has one hundred percent identical filling.
