Water-cooled intercooler for the optimum temperature
There are situations in which a charge air cooler, which is cooled by the airstream, just can not be installed. Very often z. B. in rear engines. Likewise, in certain applications, a particularly short air flow is advantageous, where the airway through the front of the vehicle is simply too long. For these cases we offer you water-cooled intercoolers. The coolers are installed in a water circuit with a small water cooler, which then sits in the wind and cools the water, which flows through the slats of the intercooler, which in turn cools the charge air.
Intercooler: Water-cooled charge air for performance enhancement
With extreme power increase, the engine also produces extreme heat. Because hot air contains less oxygen than cold air, the engine can no longer burn enough fuel. This reduces the power output and the engine is subjected to a very high thermal load. To prevent this from happening, you need the appropriate intercooler to supply the engine with cool intake air. This not only increases the service life of your engine. It also improves throttle response and you feel all the performance.
How the water-cooled intercoolers work
Our water-cooled intercoolers are particularly suitable when space is limited or when the airways need to be particularly short. The airstream cools the water in the water cooler. With the help of the water pump, this water is transported to the water-cooled intercooler, which is located between the turbocharger and the engine. Here, the cold water flows through the fins and cools down the intake air. The result is a cooling of around 30°C and about ten percent more power at the same boost pressure. Now that's a mega tuning result!
