Main Power Switch for Car Racing
The power supply in your car must of course work smoothly so you can achieve a correspondingly high performance. Sometimes, especially in motor sports, it is important though to have a fast way to shut down. This “emergency OFF,” the emergency stop switch, ensures that the car is completely de-energized in a fraction of a second. This way, you can curtail the hazard of short circuits or a fire immediately. This is very important, especially in the world of motor racing, where the engine and its components are exposed to extreme forces and temperatures. In our shop, you’ll find therefore different main switches, power switches and switch panels by means of which you can disconnect the electric circuit from the battery.
2-Way and 3-Way Flip Switches
You get from us, for example, our 2-way flip switches and 3-way flip switches. Both versions have a 40 ampere heavy-duty switch and silver-plated contacts. The 3-way flip switch is already pre-wired and has a color-coded harness. These flip switches are used in the aerospace industry and are so popular in car racing because they cannot be inadvertently activated.
Premium-Quality Switch Panel by Longacre
The carbon switch panel by Longacre is a true eye-catcher. It contains a protected ignition switch, a weatherproof starter button and 2 weatherproof flip switches, which have 1 pilot light each. Thus you have, in addition to the main switch, all important power switches in one place. For the start-up command, we recommend also a switching relay.
Manual Battery Disconnect Switch
You get from us different manual battery disconnect switches for turning off the battery quickly. They include 2-terminal and 4-terminal manual battery disconnect switches with a red release switch. Very quick to find in an emergency. Prevents creeping battery consumption and protects the diodes of the alternator from burn out.
Our high-capacity battery disconnect switch has 4 terminals as well. It is designed for high capacity alternators and tolerates up to 175 amps of continuous power.
