Oil Catchtank Kit by BAR-TEK® Motorsport especially for our billet valve cover. Suitable for all 2.0L TFSI engines, such as in the Golf 5 GTI, Audi S3, TTS and many more.
This is the best solution to minimize carbonization of the intake valves. Too much clogged intake valves can lead to a major engine damage due to valve breakage!
Further disadvantages of coking:
The coking at the intake valves and in the intake duct is caused by long-life oils, inferior fuel and frequent short-distance operation.
In general, the coking can not be prevented, only delay.
Therefore we recommend the installation of our Oil Catchtank Kit.
Open system. With our kit, the oil vapors of the crankcase and block vent are no longer returned to the intake system. The oil vapors are passed through a filter into the atmosphere. All gases go into the catchtank. Your engine only gets fresh air. (May not allowed for use in road traffic. Please check your local laws)
Closed system. With the kit, the crankcase and block vent oil vapors are directed into the catchtank. All gases go into the catalytic tank, are filtered and returned via a special hose to the intake, upstream of the turbocharger (only for K03 and K04 turbochargers) (Street legal in combination with our billet valve cover) The whole kit you can find here.

Note for use in cold climates:
The Catchtank is designed primarily for a warm climate.
In winter at temperatures below 0 ° C, the condensation that forms in the system can freeze. This would result in increased crankcase pressure, which can lead to engine damage. We recommend checking and draining the Catchtank system more frequently during the winter, or removing it completely for the cold period.
