Our team of experienced motorsport professionals develops many of our tuning parts themselves in our workshop, "Area 51". Every item is tested and further developed on our internal performance test bench until it meets our high standards. In addition, every new product from external manufacturers also goes through our quality control and only enters the store when we would install it in our own mothers' cars. Our quality and safety standards are permanently increased in this way.

Oil catchtank kit from BAR-TEK® suitable for all 1.8T 20V engines such as e. g. in the Golf 4, Audi S3, TT and many more.
This is the best solution to minimise coking and keep the engine clean.
Other disadvantages of coking:
Rough idling
Loss of power
Coking is caused by long-life oils, poor quality fuel and frequent short journeys. This kit replaces the original rubber crankcase ventilation lines. As there are often problems with cracking or softening of the original lines line, these new lines included in the kit are made of special oil-resistant material. We therefore recommend the installation of our oil catchtank kit.
Open system. With our kit, the oil vapours from the crankcase and block ventilation are no longer fed back into the intake tract. The oil vapours are directed into the atmosphere via a filter. All gases go into the crankcase tank. Your engine only gets fresh air. (Not authorised in the area of the StVZO!)
The kit consists of:
1x open oil catchtank, dimensions: 140 mm x 80 mm (without filter)
1x holder for the catchtank
1x 1 metre Dash 10 lines with nylon fabric (particularly oil-resistant)
1x 45° Dash 10- fitting
1x 90° Dash 10- fitting
2x straight Dash 10- fitting
2x NPT to Dash 10 adapter 90° for the catchtank
1x adapter Dash 10 for the engine ventilation on the block
1x adapter Dash 10 for the engine ventilation on the valve cover
1x roll of Teflon tape
2x sealing cap
Note on use in cold climates:
The Catch tank is primarily designed for a warm climate. In winter at temperatures below 0° C, the condensation that forms in the system can freeze. This would result in increased crankcase pressure, which can lead to engine damage. We recommend checking and draining the catchtank system more frequently in winter or removing it completely for the cold period.
