Description

In the BMW N55 and S55 engines, the central screw of the crankshaft can loosen over time. This causes the timing to become misaligned, which can result in major engine damage. 

In the BMW S55 engine, the camshafts are connected to the crankshaft by a chain. The chain in turn is connected to a sprocket that is bolted to the crankshaft. In production, this sprocket is not friction-locked to the crankshaft, which exposes tuned engines to a significant risk of failure.

Our BMW Crank Hub offers a huge improvement in engine safety.
