APR Low fuel pressure upgrade system for any 2.0L TFSI EA888 and EA113 engines running high boost and/or more than 400hp.
The fuel system for the 2.0 TFSI separated in two systems: The low pressure system (3 to 5bar) is feeding the high pressure system (50 to 130bar). 2.0L TFSI engines that are running higher boost (more than 1 bar) need to increase the low pressure fuel system. Otherwise under full throttle the engine can run too lean. Too lean running may result in engine failure!
The factory LPFP sits in a basket submerged in the vehicle’s gas tank. The pump operates off of a pulse-width modulated (PWM) signal sent from the pump’s control module, which is mapped in the ECU. As fueling demand increases and decrease, the PWM signal adjusts to send only the required amount of fuel through the pump.
The APR secondary in-tank fuel pump is being turned on when it is needed only.
Together with a proper high pressure fuel pump like the APR pump, this system is good enough to run up to 700hp easily!
The point when the secondary fuel pump is switched on can be adjusted to any needs.
Fits all 2.0L TFSI EA113 and EA888 engines.
