Flexible pipe compensator made entirely of stainless steel, gas-tight and extremely stable. Ideal for downpipe.
The compensator has an internal pipe, which means that the exhaust gas flow runs without turbulence and the temperatures do not directly hit the flexible outer shafts. However, the pipe leads to a small taper. We therefore always recommend choosing a slightly larger expansion joint. The optimum application is the construction of wastegate pipes and Y-pipes.
Features:
Attention:
As the name suggests, a compensator compensates for expansion due to temperature. For example at wastegate in a downpipe or manifold. It is used to absorb the expansion of the pipes at such hot points to prevent cracking.
An expansion joint is not able to take on larger loads and is therefore not used as a flex pipe replacement in a exhaust system. In this case, we recommend a reinforced interlock flexible pipe from our range.
