EBC brake pads are made from first-class friction material with a high coefficient of friction and largely comply with the ECE-R90 brake safety directive.
Suitable for:
Blackstuff Ultimax: The nominal friction value is 0.46 with less damage to the brake disc and the same brake dust formation as with OE brake pads. with approval - ECE R 90
Bluestuff NDX: For better ventilation, EBC Bluestuff NDX brake pads have so-called "V-grooves", which are deep grooves that ensure optimum ventilation and remove brake dust and dirt from the surface more quickly. The EBC Bluestuff NDX friction material is bonded to the backing plate by a unique chemical intermediate layer. This layer ensures that the adhesion between the brake pad and the backing plate is increased fivefold compared to conventional brake pads. EBC Bluestuff NDX brake pads are ideal for heavy and fast vehicles that are driven in a sporty manner and are sometimes also used on the racetrack. with approval - ECE R 90
Orangestuff: While the EBC Bluestuff NDX brake pads were developed for both racing and road use and can therefore bring a vehicle to a standstill within a very short time without any problems, the EBC Orangestuff brake pads were initially developed exclusively for extremely demanding use on the racetrack. However, due to the enormous demand, the Orangestuff has now also been given ECE R90 approval for use on public roads. with approval - ECE R 90
Redstuff: EBC Redstuff - this sport brake pad with reduced brake dust is the next level of performance for faster road vehicles. The base material for this brake pad is aramid fibres, refined with ceramic particles. It lasts longer, brakes better and is quieter. Due to its high durability, this brake pad can take up to 1600 km to break in, which is why drivers need to be patient when adapting the pad to the shape of the brake disc. The Redstuff special brake pad is also free from aggressive black brake dust.redstuff sports brake pads are very gentle on brake discs. The effective operating range is constant up to 750°C and the service life is very good despite the high coefficient of friction of 0.5. Partly TÜV-free and ECE-R 90 tested.
Yellowstuff: EBC Yellowstuff is an aramid fibre-based brake pad with a high braking effect even when the brakes are cold and is probably one of the first brake pads ever that can be used for both road and racing use. Although these pads do not require warming up, they become even more powerful due to the heat generated during high-speed driving. EBC's Yellowstuff is a progressive brake pad - the more pressure on the brake pedal, the more "biting" the pad becomes and, as the temperature rises, it develops additional "aggressive bite" with repeated braking. The brake dust formation of these pads is not low. EBC Yellowstuff offers the best possible braking performance for fast road vehicles, touring cars, racing and rally cars. with approval - ECE R 90
RP1: After extensive research and testing, EBC Brakes launches its flagship racing pad to complete the range of high performance and motorsport pads currently on offer. The RP-1 is 100% manufactured at the EBC Brakes production facility in Bristol, UK and is made from a carbon-based aramid fibre material capable of achieving temperatures and stability not usually found in high performance brakes.thanks to the Nucap© NRS system, in which hundreds of hooks peeled out of the backing plate connect the brake pad cake to the backing plate without any adhesive, the connection between the two elements is protected against delamination (i.e. the brake pad cake detaching from the backing plate) even at repeatedly high temperatures. The stainless steel backing plate also protects against delamination due to rusting. Without approval.
Compared to more abrasive, semi-metallic brake pads, brake disc wear is reduced by up to 50% with EBC components. With some OE components, replacing the brake pads often involves replacing the brake disc, but with EBC products it is not uncommon for a brake disc to outlast two brake pad sets, which represents a considerable saving. However, this does NOT mean that EBC brake pads wear out more quickly.
