The brake pads from EBC are made of first-class friction material with a high coefficient of friction and comply for the most part with the brake safety directive ECE-R90.
Suitable for:
Blackstuff Ultimax: The nominal coefficient of friction is 0.46 with less damage to the brake disc and the same brake dust formation as OE brake pads. with approval - ECE R 90
Bluestuff NDX: For better ventilation, the EBC Bluestuff NDX brake pads have so-called "V-Grooves". These are deep grooves, which provide optimal ventilation and remove the accumulating brake dust and dirt faster from the surface. The EBC Bluestuff NDX friction material is bonded to the backing plate by a unique chemical interlayer. This underlayer ensures that the adhesion between the brake pad and backing plate is increased five times compared to conventional brake pads. The EBC Bluestuff NDX brake pads are optimal for heavy and fast vehicles, which are driven sportily and are sometimes used on the race track. with approval - ECE R 90
Orangestuff: While the EBC Bluestuff NDX brake pad was developed for both racing and road use and can therefore bring a vehicle to a halt within a very short time without any problems, the EBC Orangestuff brake pads were initially developed exclusively for extremely demanding use on the race track. However, due to enormous demand, the Orangestuff has now also been given ECE R90 approval for use on public roads. with approval - ECE R 90
Redstuff: EBC Redstuff - this brake dust reduced sport brake pad is the next level of performance for faster road cars. The base material for this brake pad is aramid fibers, enhanced with ceramic particles. It lasts longer, brakes better and is quieter. Due to its high durability, this brake pad may require up to 1600 km to brake in, so riders need to be patient with the adjustment of the pad to the shape of the brake disc. The Redstuff special brake pad is also free of aggressive black brake dust. Redstuff sport brake pads are very gentle on the brake disc. The effective working range is constant up to 750°C and the service life is very good despite the high coefficient of friction of 0.5. Partly TÜV free and ECE-R 90 tested.
Yellowstuff: EBC Yellowstuff is an aramid fiber based brake pad with high braking efficiency even when the brakes are cold and probably one of the first brake pads ever that can be used for both road and racing use. While these pads do not require warm-up, the heat generated during high-speed driving makes them even more powerful. EBC's Yellowstuff is a progressive brake pad - the more pressure on the brake pedal, the more "biting" the pad becomes, developing additional "aggressive bite" as the temperature rises with repeated braking. The brake dust formation of these pads is not small. The EBC Yellowstuff offers the best possible braking performance for fast road cars, touring cars, racing and rally cars. with approval - ECE R 90
RP1: After long research and testing, EBC Brakes launches its flagship racing pad to complete the range of high performance and motorsport pads currently on offer. The RP-1 is 100% manufactured at EBC Brakes' production facility in Bristol, UK and is made from a carbon-based aramid fiber material capable of achieving temperatures and stability usually found in vain on high performance brakes. Thanks to the Nucap© NRS system, in which hundreds of hooks peeled out of the backing plate connect the pad cake to the backing plate entirely without glue, the connection between the two elements is protected from delamination (i.e. the detachment of the pad cake from the backing plate) even at repeatedly high temperatures. The stainless steel backing plate also protects against delamination due to under-rusting. Without approval.
Compared to more abrasive, semi-metallic brake pads, brake disc wear is reduced by up to 50% with EBC components. With some OE components, replacing the brake pads often entails replacing the brake disc as well, but with EBC products it is not uncommon for a brake disc to outlast two sets of brake pads, which is a considerable savings. However, this does NOT mean that EBC brake pads would wear out more quickly.
