This is the ultimate intakeupgrade for the Audi RS4 and RS5 (B9). 36% more throughput compared to the stock part, reduced pressure drop and better linearization of the turbochargers. This results in a power increase on top to our Stage 1 software of up to 19 HP and 23 Nm of torque.
Our system comes in a complete package. It includes all intake components, from the intake scoop to the turbo inlets. This is extremely important because replacing the airbox alone does not eliminate the major restrictions on the stock part. Simply put, our system flows better than stock, makes more power, puts less stress on the turbochargers, and just looks stunning in the engine bay! Last but not least, the Intake also adds quite a bit more sound.
The factory intake pipe turbocharger is a major limitation because it is very small. It's common for most intake systems to only focus on replacing the air filter and airbox, but that has minimal impact on performance in this case. In addition, upgrading the turbo inlet without changing the airbox and filter, also has minimal effect on performance. So what to do? We solve this problem by designing our Intake with a 4" air filter outlet and keeping the diameter as large as possible all the way to the turbocharger. This minimizes pressure drop and massively increases flow.
Our Intake is made from carbon fiber and looks absolutely stunning under the hood. By using this material, we are able to reduce the wall thickness of the tubes, thereby increasing the inner diameter, which of course further increases flow and performance. Likewise, with carbon fiber it is possible to create complex organic shapes, which makes it much easier to work in a tight engine compartment and still get the best result.
The airbox is fed by an intake scoop, which optimizes and maximizes the flow path. The airbox itself also has cutouts directed away from the hot engine once again, providing additional flow paths. This keeps the air temperature down and improves the sound without being too obtrusive. The filter itself is very large, as a large filter area ensures that it can easily "breathe" for many thousands of miles as it filters dirt, dust and particles. It measures 7" x 7" with a 5.5" front inlet and a 4" exhaust. The filter media is a washable, pleated cotton blend which can be easily cleaned or replaced for longer life.
Our kit includes everything you need to install it plug and play and start riding right away. No new software tuning is required to run this Intake. Included in the package, of course, are all new OEM gaskets, bolts, nuts and clamps needed for installation. Thanks to our Billet Turbo Inlet Adapters, if you replace your stock turbocharger with a larger one, all you have to do is order a new matching adapter from us. Very simple!
Of course, we have also tested this part in the exhaust laboratory according to all guidelines of the Vd-TÜV Merblatt 751, and this for the engines with and without gasoline particulate filter. So there is a road approval for standalone operation, so series vehicle + Air Intake or the use with APR software.
