High-strength, extremely lightweight aluminium connecting rods for your Audi RS3 & TTRS
The very special extra if you want to achieve extreme performance with your engine.
Aluminium connecting rods are used especially at sustained high engine speeds and temperatures. This makes them perfect for drag racing and long touring races.
In engines with extreme power, an aluminium conrods acts like a shock absorber between the piston and the crankshaft. Without the damping effect of the aluminium, the bearing shells can start to flutter, the crankshaft can break and the main bearings can start to rotate or even break. An aluminium conrods ensures that all components can withstand the stresses of an engine with extreme power.
Then there is the weight. An aluminium conrods is significantly lighter than a steel connecting rod, so your engine revs up much faster and is much more responsive. The conrods also have no bushings for the piston pin. The aluminium is so perfectly machined and provides an excellent contact surface so that the piston pin runs directly in the aluminium.
Features:
With an aluminium conrods it is particularly important to ensure sufficient running clearance, as the conrods expands more than a comparable steel connecting rod.
These conrods are made especially for you, so the delivery time may be longer.
