We have developed the Thor 601 turbocharger especially for the 2.0 TFSI EA113 engine, as installed in the Golf 5 GTI, for example. This latest turbo development is made for all fans of professional performance enhancement who want more power quickly and easily. Our turbo is so highly optimized for flow that it makes up to 600 PS (441 kW) possible with your GTI.
Thor 601 turbocharger with integral manifold
A major advantage of our Thor 501 turbocharger is its integral exhaust manifold, which turns the exhaust housing of the turbo and the manifold into a single component. Where the two parts are normally connected to each other, turbulence often occurs which impedes the flow. The integral manifold allows the exhaust gases to flow freely, which drastically improves the response behavior. Durability is also increased by this design, as there is no transition between two components that could suffer from the high thermal load. The optimized cross-section of the manifold guarantees you high-boost and better performance.

The Thor 601 turbocharger is designed to give you more power quickly and easily. That's why we have designed it so that the downpipe can be fitted to the original mounting point via plug & play. The original water and oil hoses can also be installed. This kit fits all transverse and longitudinal engines of the 2L TFSI EA113 series with timing belt.
The kit also fits the newer EA888 generations, such as the Golf 6 GTI CCZ engine, without any problems, but the oil and water hoses must then be adapted.
