Completely CNC machined 2L TFSI cylinder head by integrated Engineering from the USA.
CNC milled intake and exhaust channels
Valve seats and transitions machined using patented LiftMAX process
Oil channels opened and cleaned with special process
New integrated valve guides
Cylinder head can be fitted directly with valves without additional effort
Why do we trust Integrated? Integrated Engineering from the USA have invested a great deal of time and effort in a new and patented CNC machining process for big port cylinder heads. Countless cylinder heads were cut up and tested on the flow bench and later on the engine test bench to achieve the optimum result. Cylinder head machining is not just cylinder head machining: the more effort and research put in, the better the result. Regardless of whether the ducts are produced on CNC or by hand.
What does LiftMAX mean? In addition to the CNC machining of the ducts, a patented process called LiftMAX is also used. This involves machining the valve seat and its inflow specially adapted to the 1.8T engine in order to achieve optimum cylinder filling even with a low cam lift. Countless hours were invested in this process on state-of-the-art flow benches. The cylinder heads were then tested under real conditions on a stationary engine test bench.
Why special cleaning of the oil ducts? It turned out that in many 1.8T cylinder heads, the thin oil channel, which is responsible for lubricating the camshafts, was either narrowed or even clogged by carbon deposits to such an extent that there was no longer a sufficient supply of oil. During machining, the cylinder heads undergo more than just a simple cleaning in an ultrasonic bath. All oil ducts are also opened and completely cleaned using a special process. Only once the oil ducts have been successfully cleaned do we move on to the complex CNC machining of the intake and exhaust ducts.
Who does the best cylinder head machining? We have already seen other machining processes (including CNC) in our company and tested some of them on the test bench, but no other manufacturer has been able to deliver such a good result as Integrated Engineering!
What else is needed? The "naked"cylinder head is supplied. However, we can also install the appropriate valves, valve springs and camshafts directly on request. We recommend at least replacing the exhaust valves with Schrick Nimonic or Supertech Inconel, as the standard valves are very susceptible to higher temperatures
Price for cylinder head without replacement 2999.99 euros Price for cylinder head with replacement 2499.99 euros
